Well myself as usual had a whole host of plans to do things at Carnival, but never did. One thing that i do like to do is get down there early on a Sunday & shoot some snaps of the Carnival setting up. When the carnival is not entirely in full swing , but there is enough to give you a taste of things to come.

So that was Sunday for me, quick hit at Carnival & then I went & hung out with the Dons in the afternoon...which is always a gang of fun.

Monday had all these plans to go down the there & hang out...had a tentative agreement to meet up with a delightful lady, but that did not come to pass as we both seemed to be tied up with other things. Myself editing a PUMA shoot, animation I am making & she...well, she was busy too.

So Monday I did not make it down, but I am not at a loss for not going. There is a trend that I seem a little adverse to, the VIP party & charging for entry to places. This is meant to be a free Carnival where all & sundry are meant to be able to venture wherever they so wish.

While I do appreciate that people want like minded people to be together & there is a sense of keeping out the riff raff or certain pockets of trouble makers, but to have closed off parties & entry fees to others just takes a little of that Carnival spirit out of the scenario. & Then there is all the Twitter action of people wanting to get their names on the list at the last invite because they forgot to sort it out...

Then, maybe...just maybe I am getting a little too old for all of this...I did say maybe. I mean I was snapping & dancing till 4.30am Monday morning at Deviation...now that is another story altogether...pictures soon.

Went down to Nonsense last night at Plastic People. Was good to be back there & see all the friendly faces that I had no seen for a while. However the security was tighter than Heathrow Airport....not to self, in future when going to Plastic...get there EARLIER !!!

But back when I had to chose an Electra to ride I was toying with the Ticino Series, but went for the Amsterdam as it looked so classy, but I have been looking & looking at the Ticino on a daily...may have to make that call & see what can be done...Axel ! Dirk ! I may just come begging...

Well there was no gorw butone of the riders got the jump wrong & ended up flying into the crowd & his bike just missed them. In the end the chap came out all good except for a cut under his right eye...all in all it could have been a lot worse.

The show was pretty good, & there were a quite a few amazing jumps, which lead Dave & I to ask, 'Where do you start ?'. Yes, where do you start ? What is the starting point that leads up to a Inverted Loop at such an incredible height that it is silly...hey, small jumps I guess.

My only regret is I did not bring the Nikon & the 90mm...I would have been on the money there, but the little Lumix had to suffice. Not sure if I would go again unless it was in a professional capacity & I could get some good snaps...Red Bull me thinks I need to be knocking on your door.
