A month or so ago I was given a fantastic book on the life & times of Norman Collins aka Sailor Jerry, 'HOMEWARD BOUND the Life & Times of Hori Smoku Sailor Jerry' & it is an exceptional book. There are a few tatto books out there, but this one has some real substance. Substance comes from excellent imagery & the words & knowledge of the books contributors :-

Nicholas Schonberger - this man knows Style & Ink

Jason Buhrmester - this man is an editor of Playboy, & his words can also be read in Spin, Village Voice, Maxim & Wired

David Farber & Beth Bailey - Professors of History at Temple University in Philidelphia & co-authors of 'The First Strange Place: Race & Sex in World War II'

Eric Weiss - Director of the Documentary 'Hori Smoku Sailor Jerry: The Life & Times of Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins'

...Yes today I thought I would put in a little effort & arrive at work a little smart. All of this was due to me buying a really nice tie from Ralph Lauren yesterday, & I had to rock that somehow.

Another bonus for me was that I have lost a little weight & can fit into a few of my money making suit jackets, & today it was a toss bewteen the Cashmere Choices...Navy Blue Herringbone 3 Button by Ralph Lauren Purple label or was it going to be the deep navy 2 button Gucci number...well the Gucci Cashmere won.

I have to say I feel good, & I have a little extra bounce to my step today...the attitude seems to be a little boosted today...& my ego is not complaining either.

Just thought I would share the narcissistic tale with you.

was shooting new material this weekend for my up coming show...'WOMEN' @ Lava Gallery March 4th - 11th 2011. trying to show a little more studio work & bit of one of my favourite subjects...this was a accidental shot, & I quite like it.

Stole the title from Bukowski, & shooting different women, different situations...& trying not to be too serious...just having a bit of fun.
